
Superdelegates are more and more the focus of Democratic attention as Super Tuesday morphs into a long, protracted fight for the remaining caucus and primary delegates. The only problem is that a superdelegate -- a bigwig Democrat functionary -- has no obligation to go with the one they came with. Commitments mean nothing, and if the suspicion that Obama will be the nominee is well-planted, then Clinton operatives will be playing with fire if they pin their hopes conspicuously on coralling superdelegates.
